New MyVoice IDTM Speaks When You Can’t

Support Systems Product Development Corporation (SSPDC) releases newly patented

Personal Identification Device.

Billerica, Mass. – February 24, 2004 – Support Systems Product Development Corporation (SSPDC) today released the newly patented MyVoice IDTM , a personal identification device giving emergency response personnel instant access to victim information in medical crises.

By verbally pre-recording information, a person wearing the MyVoice IDTM provides emergency personnel with their personal and medical profile.  The caduceus (symbol of healing)-adorned, pager-sized device, which clips onto a belt, pocketbook or backpack, has a 60 to 80-word capacity and a medical card inside. MyVoice IDTM can record vital information such as blood type, allergies and sensitivities, pre-existing medical conditions, medications, health care proxy, emergency contact information, and religious affiliations.

“It’s amazing how much peace of mind this small addition has brought us,” states Kathy Stone who insists her daughter Kris wears her MyVoice IDTM as part of her everyday wardrobe. While Kris may look like a normal teenager she has been diagnosed with PDD (A type of Autism) and is non-verbal.

“I feel this is a very important piece of equipment for individuals and especially for those of us involved with law enforcement,” states Richard B. Nugent, Sheriff of Hernando County Florida, who has made it mandatory for every deputy to wear the personal identification device while on duty.

“I don’t know of any other piece of equipment that is being worn by autistic children and is mandatory for law enforcement personnel,” says Mark Gibson, Director of Operations at SSPDC.

Donald Gibson, Inventor of the MyVoice IDTM, calls for “community awareness of our pager style device adorned with the caduceus (symbol of healing).  It would be a tragedy if emergency personnel overlooked the information in the MyVoice IDTM and it cost someone their life.”
